Cock rings are a classic sex toy, and they’re a favorite among many couples. As a result, they are sometimes referred to as a "Couple's Ring". When used properly, they can allow for larger erections, better orgasms, and more control during sex. If you’ve been thinking about picking up a ring, you’ve probably wondered whether they’re safe – and just how exactly you can use your new toy effectively.

The good news is that cock rings are very safe if used correctly and with a fair amount of healthy caution - they’re pretty simple devices. To use one, we suggest you apply lubricant to the inside of the ring. This facilitates ease and prevents chafing. Depending on the size or type of ring, you would slip your balls through the loop, one at a time, then pull your penis through. Not all rings are intended for use around the testicles. Many are intended to be placed at the base of just the shaft.

While possible to put on while hard, we suggest beginning with a flaccid penis. This means that you should put your ring on before you get an erection (some rings stretch enough that you can put them on after you’re erect, but this can be uncomfortable).

Of course, there are risks associated with any sex toy. If you buy a cock ring that’s small and made from an inflexible material, you may cut off circulation to the penis, which can result in a trip to the emergency room. Likewise, you definitely don’t want to fall asleep with your ring on, and you should not wear it for an extended period of time. Barring those situations, you need not worry.

These tips will help you stay safe when using a cock ring:

Buy a Quality Product – Look for a ring made of high-quality materials. Beginners should start with a ring that stretches – for this reason silicone is an excellent choice; it’s also hypoallergenic and easy to clean. Choose a size that’s appropriate for your body. Try to find a ring that you can cut away from your body in an emergency. Some also have quick-release latches and other safety features, which can give you some peace of mind during sex.

Use a Lubricant – Always use a lubricant with your ring to make application and removal easier. We recommend water-based lube because it is compatible with all cock ring materials. Apply the lube to the inside of the ring before putting it on, and add more prior to removal if necessary.

Don’t Wear Your Ring for Too Long – Experts recommend that a cock ring be worn for no more than 20 minutes, and definitely no longer than 30. Past this point, you could risk bruising or even permanently damaging your penis.

Remove Your Ring Immediately After Ejaculation – It’s easy to fall asleep after a satisfying romp in the hay, so be sure to take your cock ring off right away. Don’t use a cock ring if you’re inebriated, as you could forget to remove it.

Shrinkage can be your friend – Maybe you got ballsy and decided to try either a smaller cock ring or a ring made of metal/an inflexible material, and now it’s stuck because your penis got too big to remove. Try filling a tub with COLD water, and sit in it. You’ll be happier than you have ever been to experience shrinkage. If this does not work, you should head to the emergency room.

For your health and safety, take notice of numbness. If your testicles or penis begin to feel numb, remove the ring immediately. Numbness could be a sign of a priapism, a serious medical condition that occurs where you can’t lose an erection. See a doctor right away if you experience pain for more than a minute or two after removing the ring, or if your erection persists for an abnormal length of time after your ejaculation.

Because cock rings affect your circulation, you should speak with your doctor prior to use if you have any circulatory issues or if you’re on medication that affects your blood flow. Your condition could increase your risks of a priapism.

We want to stress that if you buy a high-quality ring and you take appropriate precautions, you’ll have a great time. Cock rings are safe – often times, they are even MEDICALLY PRESCRIBED for people with erectile dysfunction – and while they’re fundamentally simple, they’re extremely effective.

Ben Wa Balls, Kegel Exercises, and Your Vaginal Health

Ben Wa Balls are small balls that are inserted into the vagina to assist with kegel exercises and for sexual pleasure. They are often hollow with additional smaller balls inside that will move around as you move causing subtle vibrations. Some ben wa balls are stringless, but the most popular choices these days are typically ben wa balls attached by a string.

The Benefits of Using Ben Wa Balls for Kegel Exercises-
Kegel exercises have been shown to be very effective at strengthening the pelvic floor and vaginal muscles. What does this mean? You’ll be tighter and stronger, which, aside from the obvious sexual benefits, can also help prevent or repair a myriad of issues that women commonly have after pregnancy.

Already given birth? Don’t worry, it’s not too late for you to gain these benefits too. If you get started before or during pregnancy it can help give you a head start and provide some benefits during labor itself, but serious medical issues aside, it’s never too late to get started. The body is changed by pregnancy and labor but it has an amazing ability to recover over time; you can help it and ultimately come back stronger and more toned with the addition of kegel exercises to your healthy lifestyle.

How to Use Ben Wa Balls-

Using Ben Wa Balls is quite simple. You can follow these steps to get started:

  1. Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed and get comfortable
  2. Choose your preferred lubrication to use with your new ben wa balls
  3. Lay down and slowly insert the balls, using the lubricant to help them glide in
  4. Hold the balls inside of you by tensing your leg muscles and / or doing kegel exercises

While some women to prefer to insert their ben wa balls while lying down, they can be inserted as easily as a tampon and in much the same manner if you're looking for a quick, no fuss way to play or train your muscles.

If you’re feeling adventurous you might have thoughts of wearing them while going about your daily business. If that sounds exciting to you, then go for it. However, it is recommended that you get very used to them before you consider trying something like that. It might not be as easy to keep them in for longer periods of time as you think, so build up to it slowly to avoid an embarrassing… incident.

Some women worry that they might get stuck inside the vagina, especially when they see pictures of the stainless steel ben wa balls that aren't attached by a string. Don’t worry though, there’s no place for them to go. Sometimes it may take a little more effort than others to remove them but they’ll come out. That said, let’s be clear that this only applies to the vagina. DO NOT USE BEN WA BALLS ANALLY - they can easily slip far into the colon.

You can also use them during sex to add some additional stimulation for both you and your partner.

Different ben wa balls are made with a wide variety of styles and weights, and they are made from many different body safe materials. This means you will have a lot of wonderful options to choose from when buying your new toy! For beginners, we typically recommend ben wa balls with a string or cord and made of silicone. We find that these are generally viewed as more comfortable by newbies and "pros," alike.

When training your pelvic floor muscles, it is important to remember that you work your way down. What we mean by this is that you start with larger, lighter ben wa balls. These are easier for untrained muscles to feel, catch, and hold in place. Once you've gotten the hang of those you can work your way down to ben wa balls that are smaller in size and heavier in weight. These will really give you a workout!

How To Have Shower Sex Without Hurting Yourself

Studio 21, Ltd.

Article by Vanessa Marin, via LifeHacker…

Shower sex is pretty damn hot… in theory. But between height differences, soap in the wrong places, and slipping and falling, here’s how to go to town on each other without the frustration.

Safety First!

Let’s start with the obvious: safety. Sportsheets has an entire line of products that help you avoid slipping and falling mid-thrust. A single or dual suction locking handle can give each of you some much-needed leverage. You can even try out these suction handcuffs to add a little S&M flavour to your shower adventures! This suction foot rest can give you or your partner a place to prop up one leg. (Incidentally, it also serves as a handy resting place when you’re shaving your legs.) At the very least, put a rubber bath mat on the floor of your shower. The dangers of slipping are real, people.

Don’t Use Condoms…

Another important safety note: condoms aren’t reliable in the shower. They are prone to slipping off more easily, and can degrade during contact with the water. So make sure you have a second mode of pregnancy and/or STI prevention.

…But Do Use Lube

Water will keep things nice and wet, right? Wrong! Water actually dries up natural vaginal lubrication and can make penetration much more difficult. If there’s vaginal or anal penetration involved in the sex you’re having, you’re going to need to use additional lubrication, even if you don’t need it normally.

Water-based lubes will wash away, so make sure your lube is silicone-based. It can withstand contact with water for a pretty long time. Just don’t forget to wash it off with soap afterwards, and keep in mind that silicone lubes can ruin silicone sex toys.

Do It Standing Up

Unless you have a shower worthy of MTV’s Cribs, you’re probably going to have a limited number of positions available to you. If you’re having any sort of penetrative sex, your best bet is to be standing up,both facing in the same direction. The partner being penetrated can hold their hands up against the shower wall for leverage. The person doing the penetrating can also push against the wall or can hold on to one of the aforementioned handles. Try not to use your partner for leverage, as you’ll be more likely to slip (and when one of you falls, the other will almost certainly fall on top of you).

One of the trickiest challenges of shower sex is dealing with height discrepancies. If one of you is significantly taller than the other, have the shorter person keep their legs closer together, and the taller person widen their stance or squat a bit. Don’t ever try to stand on the rim of a tub! If you’re around the same height, you can try standing up, facing each other, with the penetrated partner propping their leg up against a suction footrest.

Don’t Limit Yourselves to Penetration

Remember, intercourse isn’t the only way to have sex, and other intimate activities can be be more suited to the shower. Fellatio enthusiasts can have their guy stand at the edge of the shower head’s radius,so that the water is being deflected by his back and not getting into your eyes(it also helps to have a cushy bath mat to protect your knees). Or use some silicone lube to give an extra-slippery handjob. Push your lady against the wall of the shower and finger her from behind. You can also bring waterproof(emphasis on waterproof) sex toys into the shower to help get each other off with less effort. The shower is also a great place for anal play, especially if you’re usually a big squeamish about the back door. You get the reassurance of knowing that everything is perfectly clean right before getting started.

You can also use the shower as foreplay. Tease your partner by letting them to watch you clean yourself, but forbidding them from joining you. Or you can make out and taunt each other with your hands and mouths, then move out of the shower to finish each other off (perhaps on a sturdy counter in your bathroom?)

Give the Tub a Try

Bathtub sex doesn’t tend to get as much attention as shower sex, but it can be just as fun. If you’re having penetrative sex, the penetrated partner can get on top facing towards or away from their partner. They can prop themselves up on their feet, and can use their hands on the tub rim for even more leverage. Or the catcher can sit in the pitcher’s lap, and they can grind against each other. Be conservative with how high to fill the tub unless you want to spend your post-orgasm afterglow mopping up the mess!

If you’re lucky enough to have some jets in your tub, you can strategically line up against the stream for some delightful pressure in all the right places. Revel Body makes a product called the Sol that creates a wonderfully unique suction sensation in the bath, perfect for nipples and other sensitive spots.

Keep It Quick

I highly recommend going for a quickie when you’re having shower sex. It can make the experience feel that much more intense and passionate, not to mention save you from sore limbs, prune fingers, and irritation from soaps and other bath products. Remember; you can always continue after you get out!

Nuru Massage is given by one partner gliding their entire body over the other partner’s body. You may wish to warm the gel by placing the closed bottle into a bowl of warm water before use. Wet® Nuru™ Concentrate is very thick and may be used as is or it may be mixed with one part warm water and one part gel so it will be thinner and last twice as long as Wet® Nuru™ Original. Warm to desired temperature and apply liberally over both bodies. May be applied over the Wet® Nuru Sheet™ to provide additional glide. Reapply as desired. Easily washes away with warm water.

WARNINGS: Not intended for use as a personal lubricant

How-To Give a Nuru Massage with Wet® Nuru™:

  1. Set the mood. It’s up to you. You may wish to lower the lights, light candles, and play music or leave the lights on so you can see every inch of your partner as they massage your body. We suggest playing soft, sensual music to give rhythm to your massage techniques.
  2. It is important that you have a slippery surface that will not absorb the Wet® Nuru™ Massage Gel. We recommend covering your bed with the Wet® Nuru™ Massage Sheet. You can roll up towels underneath the sheet, along the edges to keep the gel towards the center of the bed. You may also use a blow up mattress as long as it has a slick vinyl surface. You may wish to put a pillow under the sheet where the receiver’s head will be.
  3. Next, you will want to warm the gel.  If you are using the Wet® Nuru® Original 8.8 oz. bottle, we recommend placing the whole bottle (with the cap closed) in a sink or bowl full of warm water while you proceed to step 4.  If you are using the Wet® Nuru™ Concentrate 8.8 oz. bottle, you may place the whole bottle (with the cap closed) into warm water or you may place an empty bowl next to your shower or bath and proceed to step 4.
  4. This is where it gets fun.  Wet® Nuru™ Massage Gel works best on skin that is wet or damp.  Part of this sensual ritual includes bathing or showering each other.  Be sure to select a moisturizing soap that you both enjoy.  We recommend liquid soaps because they can be poured on and lather nicely.  Take your time.  Have fun exploring each other’s bodies.  A hot shower or bath helps to relax your muscles and prepare for the massage.
  5. When you are ready for your massage, you may towel off lightly but do not get completely dry.  If you have warmed your gel, you are ready to go.  If you are using the concentrate, you can use it directly from the bottle or you can pour it into a bowl and mix it with one part warm water to one part gel.
  6. Have the receiver lay down on the slippery surface.  The receiver may lay face down or face up.  We recommend face up to see what happens next.  The giver will then cover his or her body with the Wet® Nuru™ Massage Gel.  Do this slowly and playfully.  This can be extremely erotic for the receiver to watch.  (Note:  If you are on a surface other than the covered bed, it is best to put down a floor covering.  Be extremely careful.  It will get slippery.)
  7. Once covered in gel, the giver can then ask the receiver to lay face down and pour the remaining gel over the receiver’s body.  This should be drizzled slowly and rubbed over every part of the receiver.  You may wish to blindfold the receiver to heighten the sensation of the ritual if they wish.
  8. As the giver, you can start by spreading the gel across the body with your hands to relax your partner.  Then slowly start to use the front of your whole body to massage partner.  Use your breasts or chest, pelvis, then the tops of your thighs and shins.  You can turn over and use the back of your arms, your buttocks and calves, sliding over the back of your partner’s thighs, buttocks, and back.  Practice applying more pressure on one side than the other.  Check in with your partner often to be sure you are applying the right amount of pressure to the right areas.  A good rule to follow is soft tissue on hard bone and hard bone on soft tissue.  In other words, use soft surfaces like the breasts over hard surfaces like the shins and hard surfaces like the forearms over soft surfaces like the buttocks.
  9. Ask your partner to turn over and use these same techniques over the front side of the receiver’s body.  Feel free to switch roles at any time.  This is your ritual.  What happens next is up to you…

E-Stim, or Electrical Stimulation:
Electro Sex For Beginners!

So you're intested in e-stim. Very good. You've come to the right place.

E-stim is short for electrical stimulation and in the past couple of years, it has become more and more popular. That's not really surprising: There are quite a lot of nerves in your private parts - many more than in other regions of your body, that's why you're so sensitive there - and with a properly tuned stimulator, you can tingle each of these nerves into ecstasy.

That works solo as well as it does for couples, and for each there is a whole world of things you can do and try that may get you to a fast and heavy climax, or steadily maintain a slowly spreading tingling sensation that will keep you happy for hours and hours. Whichever way you like it.

To get started, you'll need three things:

  • an e-stim device that provides the electrical impulses
  • an e-stim toy that transfers those impulses to your skin
  • a clear understanding of what is safe and what is not

That last point is especially important to us (and should be to you), so we've put together this guide explaining what e-stim actually is and does, how to go about it safely and how to have a good first time.

How does it work?

1. What do e-stim devices do?

E-stim devices stimulate the nerves by means of electrical impulse through the skin. Electrical stimulation devices have traditionally been used therapeutically for pain management and physical therapy as they offer a proven alternative to pharmaceutical drugs.

The classical electrical stimulation therapy bases on the natural body-own system of information transportation. Positive, as well as negative sensations (as pain) reach the brain by the same nervous system. E-stim uses the fact, that comfortable sensations travel on faster nerve strands than negative ones. That means, when the soft electrical impulses, that e-stim therapy sends out, reach the spinal cord, there is no more room left for the pain information; it can no longer be processed by the brain. Moreover e-stim effects the release of endorphins, the body-own happiness hormones.

These two factors together effect in pain therapy (for which our devices are suitable as well - they're fully licenced medical products) that the sensation of pain often is noticeably eased or completely eliminated. For the erotic electrical stimulation it means that the positive sensation of arousal is processed more quickly and so felt more intensely, while there is simply no - or, with high intensity settings, only very little - capacity for transmitting pain.

2. What makes an impulse?

The electrical impulses that the e-stim device transmits to the nerves (by means of a toy) have three properties that can be regulated with the device: width, rate and intensity.

  • The width of an impulse determines the duration of the single impulse. By varying the width along with the intensity of the electricity, you are able to stimulate different groups of nerves. So depending on what effect you're aiming at and what region you're working, we recommend trying different settings to see which suits you best.
  • The impulse rate or frequency refers to how often electrical impulses are released to the skin. This is measured in Hertz (Hz). To achieve a tickling, vibrating sensation, you would want to use a higher frequency setting (beginning at 80 Hz). The reason this “buzzes” is because your nerves are unable to differentiate between individual impulses. To achieve a pulsing sensation, set the frequency much lower (around 10 Hz or lower), so you can detect the individual impulses as they come in contact with your skin.
  • The intensity controls the strength of each impulse. Every individual senses impulse strength differently due to variation in tissue resistance, thickness of skin, etc. Therefore the intensity should be chosen so that impulse is felt as thumping or tickling, but never uncomfortable or even painful.

In general, stimulation should not lead to muscle contraction. You could, of course, raise the intensity until muscle contraction sets in. For this, a high frequency, long width and strong intensity for visible contraction is recommended. In no instance, however, should the application be uncomfortable.

3. How does the impulse get to the nerves?

To transmit the impulses from the device to the nerves, you need either electrodes (which are already included when you get one of our e-stim devices) or an e-stim toy.

Each toy has areas that are isolated against each other; those are the poles. Most of our toys are bipolar and thus have two poles: one positive and one negative pole. There are also quadrupolar toys which have two pairs of poles. The electrodes work a little different: You always connect two electrodes at once and one becomes the positive pole, the other the negative one.

Once your toy or electrodes are connected with a cable to an e-stim device, and the device is turned on, electricity flows from the positive pole to the negative one, taking the shortest way it can find. And because air isn't conductive but skin and tissue are, the current flows through the skin touching the toy and hands the impulses over to the nerve endings that sit along its way. Once the impulse touches a nerve, the nerve sends it to the brain where it's translated into a tingling or pulsation sensation – which is what you feel.

4. How long can I let the current flow?

You can employ our e-stim devices for as long, or short a time you like. Especially at low intensity and high impulse rate, the stimulation may last for hours.

The Prejudices

While dildos and vibrators have conquered many bedrooms, electrical stimulation devices are still subject to a lot of prejudices. Let's examine some of the more popular ones:

1. E-stim – only for sadomasochists?

One of the most popular misunderstandings concerning e-stim is the idea that electrical nerve stimulation is uncomfortable and painful and therefore exclusively suitable for use in the SM-scene. This is plain wrong. Our e-stim devices are equipped with two separately controlled channels offering the possibility to adjust impulse individually according to your taste. Stimulation may be varied from gentle/soft over intensive all the way to strong/painful. Whichever way you like it. E-Stim can be used in SM-mode, just as well as for gentle satisfaction.

2. E-Stim – isn't that perverted?

Nope. E-stim is just new and most people need some time to grow used to the idea before accepting something new into their bedrooms. It is, after all, the most recent generation of love toys. Each new toy had to first prove itself and survive existing prejudice and ideas about what is "normal" or "abnormal". Once upon a time the use of vibrators was seen as perverted. Today, they're completely accepted and a common part in the sexual practice of many couples. So if you're open to innovation, e-stim can spice up your sexy time and offer a new way to feel lust and satisfaction.

3. E-Stim – an instant orgasm machine?

We are glad that there's some positive prejudices circulating in connection with e-stim as well, but we're sorry: The device is not an orgasm machine that lets you fly higher than the sky at every push of the button. Most of the time, expectations like these are reduced to facts after first testing. Each body reacts differently to stimulation and getting the hang of what feels good for you and what makes you come fast and heavy takes one thing above all: practice.

4. E-Stim – isn't that dangerous?

Like many things, e-stim can be dangerous when you use it without thought, disregard the saftey precautions below or don't bother to learn the rules. Safety should always come before you do, and if you read the guideline and are still unsure wether a certain thing you mean to do is a good idea or not, please feel free to ask us – via email at hallo@mystim.com or on our hotline Mon-Fri 9-17 h at +49 (0) 6029 994 191.

The most important rule is: Never let the current flow through head, heart or throat.

In the next section, we've put together all the safety precautions you should remember.

Safety

E-stim is only dangerous if you use it thoughtlessly.

  • There are a couple of simple ground rules that you should memorize and adhere to:

Current must never flow through the brain.

  • In your brain, all impulses from nerve ends are interpreted and translated into useful information. Do not ever interrupt this process by sending a different current of impulses through your head. Do not place electrodes on the eyes, in the mouth, or over the ears, or any other part of you head or face.

Current must never flow through the heart.

  • The heart has its own rhythm and is sensitive to disruption (this is why pacemakers work; they're also e-stim units). Don't mess with it.
  • Never stimulate both your nipples at once making one side the positive and the other the negative pole. If you would like to use clamps, please make sure that each individual clamp has both poles.

Current must never flow through the throat.

  • Do not place electrodes in or hold toys to the laryngeal or pharyngeal area. Muscle spasms in this area can cause asphyxiation.

Current will always take the shortest possible way between the poles.

  • With this rule you can always check if you are leading the current through one of the three forbidden areas – head, heart, throat. Just imagine a straight line between both poles and you'll know where the current flows.

If you have an electronic or metallic implant (i.e. a pace maker or a loop), please consult your physician before you use e-stim.
Electronics might be disrupted and metal might heat up.
E-stim may not be applied during pregnancy.
E-stim devices do not have AP/APG-safety. They may not be operated in the environment of explosive or combustible material.
Use only on healthy skin.
Keep away from children.

The First Time

We recommend that first of all you get to know your e-stim device. The best way to do that is to experiment with a toy in your hand.

Grab the following:

  • one e-stim device, turned OFF
  • one e-stim toy
  • one hand without rings or metal bracelets that might scratch the toy or heat up

Put your e-stim device to the following settings WITHOUT turning up the intensity:

  • width: 140 µs
  • rate: 70 Hz

These settings will give you a light tingle.

Now connect the toy to the device and grip the toy with your whole hand.

Please make sure:

  • that your hand is touching both of the toy's poles (please see the application & care section below for how to identify the poles) and
  • that as much skin as possible touches the toys.

The intensity of the current (or amount, if you will) that wants to go from pole to pole is always the same. So if your entire palm is on the toy, the current spreads out over all of the skin and appears less intense. In contrast, if you only touch the toy with your fingertips, the entire current will focus on that tiny bit of skin.

Imagine it like a river: If the water has a lot of space, the river will flow quietly and evenly, but if the water has to squeeze through a narrow bit, the river won't carry less water or slow down, but shoot through with a lot of pressure.

Therefore: Always place the toy before you crank up the current

With the toy safely in hand, you can now slowly – slowly – turn up the intensity of the device until you feel your hand tingle. Carefully turn it up for as long as the sensation is pleasant.

Time to experiment:

  • Pulsing instead of tingling comes with a low impulse rate: The individual bursts are so far apart that you can feel each one of them.  For example at a rate of 5 Hz.
  • More pushing than pulsing comes with a low impulse rate and a low impulse width.  Try a rate of 5 Hz and a width of 50 µs

When you're done experimenting, it's time to turn it off. Remember the river from above?

Good. Then you already know the last bit: Always turn off the current before you let go off the toy.

Application & Care

1. Electrodes

The Placement of electrodes depends on many different factors: What are your personal preferences, and most erogenous zones? Do you want to use your e-stim unit by yourself or with a partner? Are you male or female?

We've put together some suggestions that cater to individual needs:

for him

You can attach an electrode pair on the left and a pair on the right side of your penis. One pad each on the left and the right of the glans, and one pad each left and right on the shaft. To most e-stim users the sensation is more intense in this placement, when the current flows from glans (connect the red pin) to penis base (connect the black pin). Another option would be placing two electrodes to one buttock, and just the remaining two on the penis.

In any case you should take your time. Sit or lie down comfortably, and slowly turn up the intensity until the sensation is most stimulating to you. When choosing a low impulse intensity the tingling sensation changes slowly to a pulsating one. You may enjoy this feeling for hours, if you like.

Many male e-stim users are surprised, that their penis retreats during stimulation, although excitement is unchanged. The reason is the electrical stimulation of the erectile body of the penis. You can contravene by using a penis ring. Also, dirty minds, exciting pictures, or racey movies may be of help to have the penis rise to full height. Sometimes this mode of erectile body stimulation causes an ejaculation without orgasm.

for her

Especially the pelvic floor and the labia are suitable adhesion points. When stimulating the clitoris or the vagina directly, this has to be done extremely carefully, as these areas are very sensitive to pain. For first experiments a placement of one electrode on each thigh inside and one on perineum and labia is recommendable. Lay down by yourself or with your partner and carefully turn the intensity higher, and enjoy. Additionally, you can treat yourself (or be treated by your partner) with a vibrator, or have intercourse during electrical stimulation.

for couples

Use one pair of electrodes for each person. One electrode is adhered to the thigh, the other to the nipple. Please do observe that this placement is unsuitable for persons with heart problems, and never connect both nipple through the electrodes! After attaching the electrodes, slowly turn up the intensity until you find one that is comfortable to both of you. Take your time and enjoy the soft tickling, hug and kiss while letting the excitement rise. Change the settings after a time. With a little bit of sensuality you will offer your partner completely new joys.

2. Aluminum Toys

Application

In order to find the perfect level of intensity for you, always insert the toy before turning the stimulating current on - remember: The amount of electricity that wants to go from one pole to the other is always the same, whether it has a lot of skin to spread over or just a little. All aluminum toys come with the cable attached.

We recommend to use our water-based lubricant Bonnie & Glide or our Mystim Goldfather which enhances the conductivity.

With the exception of the lust egg and the urethral sound, all Mystim aluminum toys ban be used for vaginal and anal play. Never insert the lust egg anally - you won't get it back out.

The Poles

All aluminum toys have a black stripe set into their surface. This is the isolation that keeps the poles apart: everything below is one pole, everything above the other.

Cleaning & Care

Our toys are made of high-quality aluminum that is also used in medical engineering and very hygienic. You can clean the toys with water and a mild detergent. In addition, you should also use a disinfectant at regular intervals. Make sure you use a skin-friendly product and observe the instructions for the respective product. Please let the toy dry completely prior to the next use.

(Please Note: At this time we do not carry the aforementioned Mystim products in this section of instructions. Nevertheless, the information provided here is valuable and may be considered for other similar toys, as well.)

3. Silicone Toys

Application

Thanks to our Flex & Stay technology you can bend the toy into your favorite position.

Please plug the electrode cable that ends with the black and red 2mm junctions directly into the holes in the toy. The silicone toys come without additional wires since you can use those already included in your e-stim kit.

In order to find the perfect level of intensity for you, always insert the toy before turning the stimulating current on - remember: The amount of electricity that wants to go from one pole to the other is always the same, whether it has a lot of skin to spread over or just a little.

We recommend to use our water-based lubricant Bonnie & Glide or our Mystim Goldfather which enhances the conductivity.

The Conductive Surfaces

Unlike our aluminum toys, our silicone toys are not completely separated into two poles but have a conductive surface on each side. Where you plug in the red and where the black pin determines which side will be positive (red) and which negative (black). With that you can decide the direction of the current. Because there is a gap between the poles, you will feel a slight twitch in that direction if you set a low impulse rate.

Flexing Flavio is a bit different from his cousins: he is quadrupolar - and you can control each pair of poles independently. For that, of course, you'll need two cables and two channels (both of which come with our devices). And yes, you can plug them in whichever way you want and even crosswise.

Cleaning & Care

Our toys are made of high-quality medical grade platinum silicone also used in medical engineering and very hygienic. You can clean the toys with water and a mild detergent. In addition, you should use a disinfectant at regular intervals.

4. Clamps

Application

Our body clamps can be used on nipples, labia and other regions - even on both nipples at once: each of the clamps is bipolar and so there is no danger of leading electricity through the heart. The gold contacts of Barry Bite make for an especially intense and continuous stimulation.

The Poles

Barry Bite's poles sit at the tip of each arm and each clamp has both a positive and a negative pole: only the tissue in between the two halves of the clamp is stimulated.

Cleaning & Care

Please clean Barry Bite using mild soapy water and rinse it with clear water. In addition, we recommend using a disinfectant on a regular basis.

(Please Note: At this time we do not carry the aforementioned Mystim products in this section of instructions. Nevertheless, the information provided here is valuable and may be considered for other similar toys, as well.)

5. Gloves

Application

Mystim Magic Gloves are a perfect toy for electrosex beginners and ideal for erotic massages. In order to stimulate anybody area you touch, you have to isolate your hands against the electrical impulses first. Please use one of the five pairs of vinyl gloves which are included in the scope of delivery. Now put your Magic Gloves above the vinyl gloves, and ensure that they don’t overlap the vinyl gloves at your arms. Touch the area that you wish to stimulate and turn on the stimulation current, in order to find the right intensity level.

Make sure that your hands are not touching, because otherwise the stimulation will not be transported to the skin. The electrical impulses which are transmitted by the Magic Gloves are very soft, as the percentage of conductive material is much lower than e.g. in an aluminum toy.

The Poles

Each of the gloves is one pole so that the area between the hands is stimulated.

Cleaning & Care

The Magic Gloves can be hand washed with a mild detergent. Please do also use a disinfectant laundry additive on a regular basis. However, please do not put the gloves into the washing machine or laundry dryer.

(Please Note: At this time we do not carry the aforementioned Mystim products in this section of instructions. Nevertheless, the information provided here is valuable and may be considered for other similar toys, as well.)

6. Straps and Chastity Devices

Application

Charming Chuck and Rodeo Robin can be adjusted in size and should be strapped around shaft or glans and testicles with gentle pressure until they fit snugly. In order to find the perfect level of intensity for you, always put on the straps before turning the stimulating current on - remember: The amount of electricity that wants to go from one pole to the other is always the same, whether it has a lot of skin to spread over or just a little.

We recommend to use our water-based lubricant Bonnie & Glide or our Mystim Goldfather which enhances the conductivity.

The Poles

Each of the straps is one pole. For a more intense stimulation, we recommend to place the sling with the black cable connection closer to your body.

Cleaning & Care

Once you have pulled out the cable and/or detached the adapters, you can clean both toys with a mild detergent and water. Please also use a disinfectant regularly and always let the toy dry completely prior to the next use.

(Please Note: At this time we do not carry the aforementioned Mystim products in this section of instructions. Nevertheless, the information provided here is valuable and may be considered for other similar toys, as well.)

7. Urethral Probes

Application

All Mystim products are inspected carefully before they leave our production facilities. However, even we slip up sometimes, and with Finn that might end bloody. We highly recommend to check your Finn very carefully for any unevenness or sharp edges before you use him for the first time.

In order to find the perfect level of intensity for you, always insert the toy before turning the stimulating current on - remember: The amount of electricity that wants to go from one pole to the other is always the same, whether it has a lot of skin to spread over or just a little.

You may feel a soft tension or pressure, but insertion may never feel uncomfortable or painful. Never – never –insert the toy forcefully.

The Poles

Like all aluminum toys, Finn has a black stripe set into his surface. This is the isolation that keeps the poles apart: everything below is one pole, everything above the other.

Cleaning & Care

When you are playing with your Finn, or any urethra toy really, you need to pay extra attention to hygiene and sterility. Disinfect the probe right before and after every single use, use a sterile lubricant, sterile gloves and disinfect your penis before and after using the toy. Please always pay attention to any instructions and safety notices with the products you use like sterile lube or disinfectant.

(Please Note: At this time we do not carry the aforementioned Mystim products in this section of instructions. Nevertheless, the information provided here is valuable and may be considered for other similar toys, as well.)

Skin Care Tips

  • We have put together some tips on how to best handle electrodes. If you have sensitive skin, please follow these closely.
  • Wash the areas where the electrodes are to be placed prior to application and after removal with a mild soap and water. Rinse the soap thoroughly and dry the skin.
  • Excessive hair growth may be cut away with the scissors; do not shave the area that is to be stimulated.
  • Many skin problems arise due to the electrodes being pulled too tight over the skin at application. To prevent this, apply the electrodes from their center to the rim and do not pull them over the skin.
  • To prevent irritation by stretching tape the excess wires in a circle to the skin so it will not pull on the electrodes.
  • When removing the electrodes always do so in the direction of hair growth.
  • It may be helpful to apply skin lotion on the areas that electrodes where attached to between applications.
  • Never adhere electrodes to skin already irritated or injured.
  • Dispose of electrodes that do not adhere well.
  • Self-adhesive electrodes are to be used by the same person only.
  • In case of skin irritation cease usage and consult your physician.
  • If stimulation is uncomfortable either reduce intensity to a tolerable amount or discontinue stimulation and ask your physician.

Picking the Perfect Penis Pump

Selecting the proper cylinder size is important for making your pumping sessions both comfortable and rewarding. Your cylinder should be large enough to allow for significant expansion, but not so large as to make it easy for your testicles to be drawn into the cylinder by the vacuum as this may cause permanent damage. This is primarily an issue caused by excessive diameter of the cylinder, but an excessive length of cylinder can also be a contributing factor. This is why we suggest that you do take the time to work your way up to larger sized cylinders as needed.

When selecting length, choose a cylinder that is between 2 and 3 inches longer than your erect length when measured from the pubic bone. This allows for expansion of the length of the penis.

Diameter is a little bit trickier. For selecting diameter, we suggest you use the table provided below, where "Base Girth" refers to the circumference of (distance around) the base of the erect penis & "Cylinder Diameter" refers to the distance straight across from one end of the cylinder's opening to the other end of the opening. The measurements provided here vary from what is usually provided by the manufacturer, but these numbers are based on extensive customer feedback regarding pump size and successful usage.

*If you are at the upper limit and are going for length, select the cylinder diameter straight across in the table. If you are at the upper limit and are going for girth, select the next cylinder size up. Example: Your base girth measures 5.25. If your goal is length, select the 1.75 cylinder. If your goal is girth, select the 2.0 cylinder.

Anal Sex for Beginners

There are plenty of misconceptions about just who in a partnership anal sex is for. Who should be giving it?  Who should be receiving it? And who should be enjoying it? The answers here should be “both”, “both”, and “both”. Anal sex is for every willing and interested participant, regardless of sex, gender, or orientation – everybody has an ass! We do emphasize, however, that if you are not fully committed to the idea of trying anal sex, then it really isn’t for you.

For many couples, anal play can be an unexplored sexual frontier. They may have never crossed that line. Or they may have crossed it with results that put an end to any future exploration. If you’re turned off by the idea of anal sex, or if you had a particularly bad time of things, you may take care to avoid it in the future – and that is perfectly reasonable. But if you have a genuine curiosity, or you’re hoping for a better result than last time, then this article is the way to go.

First and foremost, ANAL SEX SHOULD NOT HURT. If it hurts, you’re doing it wrong! So keep reading, and maybe slow it down in the meantime.

Let’s cover some basic anal anatomyThe anus contains TWO sphincters! One is visible, the other is not (because it’s internal). The external sphincter is, for most, relatively easy to relax – and definitely more easily managed than the internal sphincter. But if you want to relax your internal sphincter and enjoy receptive anal play, over time, you probably can.

Inside the internal anal sphincter, the narrow anal canal typically expands one to two inches. The anal canal and the anal sphincters are incredibly receptive to touch and stimulation – which is why anal play works out in the first place. The anus is also surrounded by a number of muscles which contract during and play heavily in both the male and female orgasm. Anal play can further excite these muscles, helping to intensify your orgasm! This goes double for men on the receiving end, as they will typically experience a very satisfying level of prostate stimulation from anal penetration! The prostate, for those who don’t know, is considered to be the male equivalent of the ever elusive female G-spot. Stimulation of the prostate can not only lead to a full body orgasm, but it’s good for you, too! Regular prostate massage can be preventative of prostate cancer! So, where is this ‘prostate’ that’s getting these rave reviews? Why, it’s located just in front of the rectum…

Beyond the anal canal is the rectum. This is a cylindrical organ about five-inches long, wide and curving in a way that varies from person to person – everyone’s body is different. Anything pressed into the rectum must navigate these curves, which is why anal insertion of anything should proceed very slowly, with lots of lubrication, and the recipient should always be in control of the speed and depth of insertion.

Remember, the anus is not self-lubricating like the vagina – lube is essential to anal play. Say that to yourself and repeat it a few times. This is your new mantra. “Lube is essential to anal play, and wetter is better.” Never be afraid to stop and add more lubrication. Lubricants can dry out, and stopping to reapply will not kill the moment. Tearing and bleeding of the rectum? Now, that’s a mood killer.

Let’s talk about hygiene… Anal play can be considered a minority sex act in America. Statistics regarding participation in anal sex are notably low across the board. This is often attributed to society’s consideration of the anus as taboo because it is “unclean” or “dirty”. The reality is that the rectum and anal canal usually only contain traces of stool or fecal matter. Most fecal matter is stored above the rectum, and once fecal matter been passed, very little of it will ever remain behind because the human body is just very efficient when it comes to keeping itself clean.

This doesn’t mean that bacteria doesn’t linger, however. Cleanliness is crucial. Before anal sex, it is important that you wash, bathe, or shower. You’ll want to try cleaning the area with a soapy finger. Some people find that rinsing internally with enemas gives them the level of cleanliness that they personally find to be satisfactory. Disposable enemas are available at most pharmacies, but reusable kits (which, per customer review, tend to be easier to maneuver & less “uncomfortably clinical”) can be found right here at Studio 21, LTD. Anal rinsing, while not for everyone, can help whoever is receiving anal penetration to relax, and if the recipient washes well beforehand, anal play – including oral-anal "rimming" – can be very clean and safe. However, nothing that touches the anal area should come into contact with the vagina. Anal bacteria can cause urinary tract infections, and we’re fairly sure that everyone would rather avoid those.

If you’re interested in being a recipient, try it out solo…
A good way to gauge your interest in and readiness for anal play is to try fingering yourself. To all the newbies out there, let’s cover the basics.

Make sure to lubricate the opening. Remember your new favorite saying “…wetter is better”. Making sure you are breathing calmly and deeply, you can try slowly pressing one finger through the external sphincter. Once you find a point where you are comfortable with that, explore your internal sphincter. Again, when you feel comfortable and ready, slowly press through it. Before you complicate anal play by adding another person, be sure that you are comfortable with solo play. Use plenty of lubricant, and reapply as needed. A standard water based lubricant may not provide enough lubrication to make you comfortable. If you are not involving toys, you can try a silicone lubricant. Silicone lubricants are longer lasting, and in some cases smoother, than a standard water-based lube. Be sure that you never use a silicone lube with a plastic or silicone toy – the combination can cause the toy to degrade and expose the body to unwanted chemicals as a result of material breakdown. Most toys are completely safe to use if they are not introduced to outside sources of silicone. If a pure silicone just isn’t for you, or you intend to use toys, you may try a thicker, jelly-style water based lubricant, a water-silicone hybrid lubricant, or a water based lubricant specially formulated for anal use (typically comparable to a standard water based lubrication, but with a thickener added to make them longer lasting). There are some lubricants available on the market that contain either a numbing or a relaxing agent. While a relaxing lubricant can help to open up the muscles in cases where you may be particularly tense, we suggest that you stay away from numbing lubricant unless you are very experienced. Numbing means that you will have reduced or no feeling in the affected area, which can be dangerous should you do any damage during anal sex. If you’re hurt, you need to know so that you can seek medical attention immediately.

Statistically speaking, most beginners playing solo, and in fact most couples playing together, will stop their anal exploits at fingering. You might want to try something a little different, though! Anal beads or a small butt plug are usually a safe bet for beginners. Beads or beaded vibrators tend to be easier for newbies. While you may not be able to insert a whole string of beads when you’re starting out, the dips or grooves in between each bead make these toys a great tool for beginners who want to get used to deeper penetration. Because the anus is made to force things out and not take things in, you’ll find that you may have trouble inserting straighter toys like a plug, a dildo, or a standard slim vibrator. The groove between each bead in a string of anal beads give the muscles a place to “catch” and hold on to. Because the anus will not be reflexively forcing out a beaded toy (or at least, it won’t be working as hard to do so), you’re free to go at a slower pace – which can be a huge relief, both mentally and physically, for inexperienced recipients. The more pronounced the groove between the beads, the better it is for going at your own pace!

Now, as far as plugs go, there are a few things to remember. You always want to start small, even though a lot of people tend to use plugs for experimentation with girth. So start small and just work your way up! You may be excited to try something new, but you never want to be in the situation of your eyes being bigger than your anus. For ease of insertion, look for plugs with a flared tip that gets a little wider as it goes. Your first few plugs should, ideally, nip in a bit just prior to the base before flaring out at the base or handhold. The dip helps your muscles “catch” the toy and help prevent it from being forced out, just like with beads. This is optional, but the flared base is mandatory. A nice, flared base is an important safety feature in any plug that you buy, because this prevents the plug from slipping up into the anus, and potentially getting lost in the colon. Should you have a mishap in which you “lose” a toy anally, seek medical attention immediately.

Let us reiterate – it should never hurt… Ill-educated, fumbling attempts at anal sex can be incredibly painful. But being ignorant on anal sex is no excuse when there are so many resources out there! Sex, of any kind, should be pleasurable. Any pain being involved in anal sex means that the recipient is either not sufficiently lubricated and/or relaxed, and/or that the inserter is being just plain insensitive!

Sometimes, even if you really want to try anal play, you may have trouble relaxing enough to make it a possibility. We suggest that couples who are interested in anal sex should try to cultivate full body relaxation. Use a hot bath or shower to help you relax your muscles and your mind. Anal will be easiest and most pleasurable when both partners are highly aroused. Once you’re both feeling it, proceed to a well-lubricated massage of the external sphincter. From there you can try gentle, shallow fingering. Most people stop there.

If both parties are interested in going further, the recipient should ALWAYS be in charge. It is suggested that the inserter remain still while the recipient tries backing onto the finger, toy, or penis. The recipient should always control the speed and depth of insertion. It needs to be at their pace, and at their comfort level. Some good positions include: recipient-on-top, spooning, or standing bent over with the inserter behind. The inserter should remain still until given the instruction to move! No pushing inside, and definitely no thrusting, until the recipient invites the inserter to do so. Should the recipient invite movement, start with slow, gentle, well-lubed moves. It cannot be stressed enough that anal sex should never be rushed.

Some recipients enjoy being anally fingered or wearing plugs as their partner brings them to orgasm either by hand, mouth, or vibe. Still, a great many recipients prefer not to have orgasms while anything is still inserted anally. This needs to be discussed beforehand, and is the recipient’s call.

If only one of you wants anal sex… DO NOT HAVE ANAL SEX. There is nothing wrong, unnatural, perverted, or dirty about anal play. That being said, it is still insensitive and WRONG to pressure anyone into it. If you are eager to try it out, but your partner is reluctant, never force it, and do not nag. Have an adult conversation about the matter. Explore your partner's reluctance. What about anal sex is off-putting to them? What aspects are they struggling with? Listen to them, and listen carefully. Try addressing their concerns. Ask if there is any way they may feel comfortable with another type of anal play. Perhaps the idea of penetration is worrisome for them – it can be intimidating to think that that’s what you’re shooting for right off the bat! Ask them if they are willing to experiment with non-penetrative forms of anal play, for example, rimming or gentle sphincter massage. Remember, most people stop there or engage in light fingering. Do only what is mutually agreed upon. If your partner says stop, stop immediately. Always respect limits. If you do not have their consent, DO NOT PASS GO.

Will anal sex injure me or my partner in any way?  Some people worry that once the anus has been stretched sexually that it will not return to normal. They’re worried it will stay stretched. They’re worried about incontinence. They’re worried about all kinds of things. Will anal sex change the way your anus functions? No. The anal sphincters open and close all of the time! This happens consistently throughout your life, and if you say that it doesn’t then you’re full of crap because if they didn’t then you would – quite literally – be full of crap. Assuming your sphincters closes normally after defecation now, they will continue to do so after you have had anal sex.

Does a male wanting anal sex make him gay? Yes, absolutely – if his partner is male and he is not, in fact, a bisexual, pansexual, or some other sexual orientation. Heterosexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality (or anything else on the spectrum) are sexual preferences. These have everything to do with the gender you are in comparison to the gender or genders that you either fantasize about or actually sleep with. They have nothing to do with the sexual activities you partake or have interest in, this includes anal play. Straight guys, did you know that gay men kiss, hug, and enjoy oral sex? Are kissing, hugging, and oral gay just because gay men also partake in these things? No, and neither is recipient anal! So if you’re interested in exploring anal play & your partner wants to help you out, go for it!

Lastly, anal sex – for many - is really very much about intimacy… If anal sex isn’t your deal, don’t do it. Compared to other types of lovemaking, anal requires a lot more communication and trust to be done safely and pleasurably. This can make for deeply intimate sex, and in some cases it may bring couples closer together to enjoy this thing together. This can be a major part of the appeal for some couples. When it comes down to it, though, anal play is just another variation on the act of sex that some people enjoy and others do not.

Really, it’s just sex. Play safe, and make sure you have fun!
